Here's 10 Fun Facts About Me
I say these are "fun" mostly because I like to laugh at my randomness. But I hope you enjoy this post!
1. During the summer of 2014, I took a random one day Sushi Class with my friends at the nearby library.
2. In 5th grade, I was expecting to get Most Likely to be an Author for my 5th grade superlatives but I got "Connect-4 Champion".
3. My sisters and I have had a total of 10 dogs, 11 cats, 2 crabs, 2 turtles, 4 parakeets, & way too many fishes.
4. I helped raise around 5 litters of kittens & one of my cats gave birth under my bed.
5. I've quit a lot of things (Soccer, Taekwondo lessons, Tennis team, Ballet lessons, Cheerleading lessons, Gymnastics lessons, piano lessons, violin lessons, art lessons, viola lessons)
6. I've played the the viola for over 7 years & the only song I know from memory is Twinkle Twinkle.
7. The monkey bars & pogo sticks were my favorite things to do in elementary school
8. My favorite emoji sign is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ bc that pretty much sums up how I feel on most things
9. I learned the ASL alphabet in 7th grade so I could talk with friends across the room in orchestra
10. My twin sister and I were put in ESL (English as 2nd language) in elementary school because we were so quiet that they thought we didn't speak English?!?
Update: We got a 12th cat on 7/28/15. We found him at East End Park & named it East. :)

I'll probably look back on these regretting the filters and mirror selfies. But I also took some random photos today at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston with my phone and had an amazing time! They aren't the best quality but sometimes enjoying the moment counts for so much more than some quality photos. 
I haven't touched my camera since my graduation day so I felt like I should practice with it more. But in the end, I just ended up taking selfies in front of the mirror. Stupid, but it was fun to pretend like I was some kind of photographer-model person!
My favorites I saw today at the MFAH were by Claude Monet & Pablo Picasso.
Random post. And my awful grammar in this post actually makes me cringe a little. But taking some photos of the small things I enjoy was really fun & I had an awesome time!

It's almost 4:40 p.m & I still haven't taken my math placement exam. What have I been doing this whole time??
I finished making this color melt in about 2 hours.
(Umm well I can't tell you that I may or may not have been going on Pinterest & making more DIYs)
But if I was, I'd tell you DIYs are so much fun & so inexpensive! Yesss!
For most people, this probably went by way quicker. I didn't have any super glue so I used tape to stick the crayons to the poster board. Not a good idea. They kept slipping off-making it a real pain to finish.
My plan was to have morning Sun colors melt down one side while blue Sky colors melt down the other side. At the bottom, there'd be greens mixed with random colors to exhibit a grassy/nature feel. The problem I had was that I didn't have a full set of crayons. I picked up some random colors I found around the house so I used about 8 blue crayons & 5 yellow/orange crayons making the Sun colors not go very far down the board as the blues.
Also using Brown was a horrible idea! As you can see, the brown overpowered all the greens making an ugly mixed dirt color!
But you know it's Art, so excluding what I just told you--it's open to interpretation--who knows it might have some complex meaning deep within it...?
I also made this Pinterest DIY using a shoe box, gift wrap paper, scissors, & tape to keep my power strip cord wires neat!

I've been putting off taking my Math Placement Exam for college--which is due in a week. It's over Pre-Cal which you would think would be easy considering I already took Calculus---but knowing me it's not. But other than that, I've been catching up on TV shows which was put off bc: 1. My dad won't give me the netflix password 2. I found out one of the main characters in the show I'm watching is going to die.
•The first I made today is the one I cut out of scrapbook paper where it was taped into a mason jar (green).
The tape is really easy to cut making it easy to decorate with! The only problem I have with this is that the tape doesn't stick to the cork board very well. But that could also be because I messed up a lot. SHhhhhh...;)
Hence, my boredom.
So today I was on Pinterest looking @ college dorm decorations when I decided to do some DIYs.
By the way, DIYs are way harder than people make it seem! (At least for the skillfully challenged people like me)
Mason Jar DIYs are so addictive! Most of these are going to end up holding my toothbrush, makeup brushes, or art supplies in college.
•I made two jars where I cut out sheet music from my favorite orchestra pieces such as Fantasia by Vaughn Williams! After taping them, I grabbed some fake flowers and taped them around the top edges.
•I didn't have any rocks or sand so I filled some hard dried corn pieces (mixed pieces b/t a reddish brown & yellow making it colorful) halfway while placing some fake flowers into the jar.
•The blue patterned mason jar is actually gift wrap paper that I taped into it! I added a flower to the side for extra decoration!
•The jar on the very left is actually a DIY from Valentine's Day leftover where I used adhesive spray to glue sparkles into the jar which I filled with chocolate. Today, I added some scrap material with this pretty pink pattern & taped it onto the sparkly inside!

How old should you be when you dye your hair?
16-17? 18+?
Does it depend on the color? I'd say 16-early 20s would be the age range for non-natural colors (blue, red, purple, green). In your 20s+, your style will probably mature & so will most people's taste in hair color.
I remember in 5th grade, my friend got blonde highlights in her brown hair. She was maybe 10 or 11 years old. I couldn't believe her parents let her, and I thought it looked horrible.
It's a crazy thought because I recently graduated high school Hallelujah! I really wanted to do something different and celebratory. Dyeing my hair seemed crazy?!? But I actually did it!
I'm glad I grew out my hair so that if I get tired of the dye, I can just cut off the ends!
I got this Splat dye at Walgreens for 11.99 & it worked so well! It included hair bleach w/pink & purple dye. (I just used the pink)
The whole process took about 2 hours (1hr-bleach, 1hr-dye)
I'm definitely not one of those kind of people that you see in school that constantly dye their hair & have piercings all over their body. Most people believe it's a phase where teens try to rebel. And it probably is true for a lot of kids.
It was my first time & I chose pink because it's just simply a fun color. I'm 17 years old, it's summer, & I don't have work or school. And I just graduated! Of course my hair dye is only temporary. But could I ask for a better time?
Dyeing your hair is certainly something where thought should be put into. It's a reflection to others of what kind of person you are. Some people just do it for fashion. But it can also show to others about your maturity. Natural colors are always best if you're looking for a change. Crazy colors are fun for the sun! (Basically my motto for temporarily dyeing my hair for this Summer) So choose wisely about your hair color!
